Every year 65 billion tons of disposable gloves are ending up in landfills at the end of their life. With glove usage only expected to grow over the next decade, we can sufficiently say: the glove waste pollution is a major problem. How It Works
Eco Gloves' Biodegradable Nitrile Gloves are specially formulated with our Accelerated Biodegradable Technology (ABT)™ to attract microbes found particularly in landfills.
After the gloves are used, they can disposed in a regular trash bin. In a landfill, the gloves undergo a strictly enzymatic biodegradation process in which bacteria naturally consume the glove material and excrete an enzyme that dissolves and de-polymerizes the nitrile polymer chain, allowing microbes to further break down the remaining polymers naturally.
The result is water, humus, and biogas that can then captured and converted into clean renewable energy.
