WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMPOSTABLE AND BIODEGRADABLE GLOVES?
Compostable gloves are certified to fully break down into soil and organic material under specific conditions (ASTM D6400 / EN13432), typically within 90 days in a compost environment. Biodegradable gloves break down over a longer, less-defined timeframe and don't require certification testing.
CAN I COMPOST THESE GLOVES AT HOME?
They are BPI Certified Compostable, which means they're verified for industrial composting facilities. Home composting can work but may take longer without the higher heat of an industrial facility.
ARE COMPOSTABLE GLOVES AS DURABLE AS NITRILE GLOVES?
